The weather didn't cooperate much on Saturday. It pretty much rained all day.
Bridal Veil Falls is a 365 foot waterfall at the end of the box canyon overlooking Telluride, Colorado.
I had to wait a few minutes for the clouds to move before I could see the falls at all.

I parked the car in Mountain Village and rode the free gondola into Telluride.
The town is a former silver mining camp on the San Miguel River in the western San Juan Mountains.
The weather was nice for about the first ten minutes of my visit to Telluride.

MY DAILY EMAIL SENT ON JUNE 12, 2010
Hello Folks,

After eleven days of great weather my luck ran out today. It rained and even snowed as I was working my way north through western Colorado.

Below is a picture of the San Juan Mountains very early today before it started to rain.

Was also very cold. Started off wearing shorts and had to change and put on a coat. I was freezing. Below you can just barely see Bridal Veil Falls. I had to wait for the clouds to move before I could see them at all. These falls are the tallest in Colorado.

I rode the 8 mile long free gondola into Telluride.

Had about ten minutes of good weather while I was in Telluride.

The were having some kind of wild west festival.

About 2 minutes after the picture below was taken the clouds closed in and it started to rain.

There were a lot of other things in the area I wanted to see but was not able to due to the weather. The rain turned to snow as I was driving over the mountain passes. Will hope for better luck tomorrow.
