JANUARY  1998


My 1998 winter vacation began as I flew to Reno, Nevada.

During my three days in Reno, I stayed at the beautiful new Silver Legacy Hotel.

I spent most of my time in Reno hopping from casino to casino playing the slots.
By the end of my second day in Reno I had won over $750!
On the third day of my vacation I decided to give the slots a rest and drive over
to Lake Tahoe. While I had been to Lake Tahoe numerous times before, this was my

first visit in winter time. All the snow made it beautiful. Later that evening
I returned to the slot machines and lost back about half of my previous winnings.
On Day #4 I left Reno and Flew over to San Diego. Where I was greeted by a deluge

of rain. If you look closely in the above picture of the San Diego skyline, you
can see a rainbow. The sun did peek out every once in a while so I was able to

take in some of the areas attractions, such as the famous San Diego Zoo, Sea

World, and the Wild Animal Park. The gentleman you see in the picture below

was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno a few days after I took this picture.
The rain also paused briefly so I could spend a little time by the ocean.

It was a short trip, only eight days.
But I had fun despite the weather and its short length.
