My 1998 winter vacation began as I flew to Reno, Nevada.

During my three days in Reno, I stayed at the beautiful new Silver Legacy Hotel.

I spent most of my time in Reno hopping from casino to casino playing the slots.
By the end of my second day in Reno I had won over $750!

On the third day of my vacation I decided to give the slots a rest and drive over
to Lake Tahoe. While I had been to Lake Tahoe numerous times before, this was my
first visit in winter time. All the snow made it beautiful.

On Day #4 I left Reno and Flew over to San Diego. Where I was greeted by a deluge
of rain. If you look closely in the below picture of the San Diego skyline, you
can see a rainbow.

The sun did peek out every once in a while so I was able to
take in some of the areas attractions, such as the famous San Diego Zoo.

The weather was pretty good on Sunday when I spent the day at Sea World.

I spent Monday at the Wild Animal Park. The gentleman you see in the picture below
was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno a few days after I took this picture.

The rain also paused briefly so I could spend a little time by the ocean.
It was a short trip, only eight days.
But I had fun despite the weather and its short length.
