AROUND THE WORLD IN 37 DAYS!
October 1, 2009 - November 6, 2009
On October 1, 2009 I set out on a trip that took me completely around the world in 37 days.
On the first day of the trip I flew out of Toronto, Canada to Beijing, China.
I spent 3 days in Beijing before boarding the Diamond Princess for my Southest Asia cruise.
During my 16 days on the Diamond Princess I visited Shanghai, Okinawa, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore & Thailand.
After disembarking the ship I spent the day in Bangkok before flying to Athens, Greece late that evening.
I had two days and one night in Athens before boarding the Royal Princess for my Holy Land cruise.
During my 12 days on the Royal Princess I stopped at two of the Greek Isles followed by one port in Turkey.
Next there was two full days in Israel followed by a 2-day overland excersion in Egypt
where I spent the night in Cairo, took a cruise on the Nile and saw the Great Pyramids.
After leaving Egypt there were three full days at sea before the cruise ended in Venice, Italy
where I spent two days before flying the rest of the way around the world on my journey home.
