The misadventures of Mickey Mulligan, a page at the
International Broadcasting Company in Los Angeles.
Undecided about his future, he attends the Academy
of Dramatic Arts and by taking various part-time
jobs, he struggles to discover his goal in life.
Mickey lived with his mother, a one-time star in
burlesque, and his father, a life-long cop. His
girlfriend, Pat, who worked as a secretary at the
studio, was one of the very few to encourage Mickey
to continue his struggle to become an actor. By day
his thespian ambitions were not encouraged by
either his peers or superiors.
