So what happened to all the real men?

They're still here -- they just smell like pomegranate body wash now.

Meet Will.

Will and his friends find themselves wondering,
in a world of body spray and manscaping, what does it really mean to be a guy anymore?

Will is more interested in finding the perfect gift for his son Nathan's 13th birthday
than in doing his job selling insurance, sensitive soul Craig still pines for his
college ex Lisa, and Kenny clamps down on his anger and asks himself
"What would Tobey Maguire do?" when his ex Brenda starts seeing a guy who is
everything he's not. And though it may not come naturally, each new day brings
these lovable beta males another opportunity to Man Up and be like their forefathers.

Will’s grandfather fought in World War II and his father fought in Vietnam.
Will plays Call of Duty on his PlayStation 3, uses non-dairy hazelnut creamer and scrubs
with pomegranate body wash. His evolved, sensitive nature may be why his wife,
Theresa, fell in love with him, but there’s more to Will than his emotional side and he’s
ready to prove it -- to Theresa, his children Nathan and Lucy, and especially himself.
Alongside his best friends Kenny and Craig, Will sets out to redefine the modern man.
Just don’t expect him to stay out too late; he has work in the morning.

Kenny is the perpetual child: impulsive, immature and lacking a fundamental understanding
of consequences. He once sold his ex-wife’s Kitchen-Aid mixer to buy a 12” Boba Fett on eBay.
Now free from marriage to his ex, Brenda, Kenny spends his days indulging his every impulse,
going on adventures with his pals and taking advantage of his roommate, Craig.

A warrior. A champion. A man’s man. Craig Griffith has never been called any of these things.
Since he met Will and Kenny in high school, Craig’s always been the romantic one in the group.
If you catch him writing poetry, sharing his feelings or serenading his latest love outside
her window, don’t be surprised because you’ll probably catch him doing it again some time soon.
So what if he doesn’t have the biggest muscles at the gym or the ability to drink two
consecutive shots of alcohol? Craig knows that sexy is a state of mind.
At least, that’s what he heard on Oprah.

Her husband, Will, would say, “Behind every great man is a Theresa.”
When Will gets lost on one of his adventures in manhood, Theresa is the beacon of sanity that
brings him home. Responsible and pragmatic, she skillfully juggles the duties of being a
supermom for Nathan and Lucy. It’s looking after her husband and his partners in crime that
can drive her crazy. She’s more than happy letting Will make decisions for the family,
just as long as he makes the right choice.
Which, as Will should know by now, is always Theresa’s choice.

Theresa’s best friend and Kenny’s ex-wife, Brenda, works as a registered nurse and currently
dates Grant, the ultimate man. But having a good job and a good man does not make an adult;
it just provides the illusion of one. And that’s fine with Brenda. All she wants to do is
torture her ex-husband, the only activity she’s good at that her attention span will allow.
Why should something like divorce stop her fun?

Grant is the human man version 2.0: everything a modern male should be.
Considerate, athletic and handsome, Grant lives sublimely on the crest of perfection.
When Grant enters the family as Brenda’s new beau, his undeniable charisma makes things
difficult for her ex-husband, Kenny. While the two men may be polar opposites,
they both know there is strong potential for them to learn from each other
and grow to be better people. Well…that’s how Grant feels, anyway.

Will and Theresa’s son, Nathan, just turned thirteen.
On the brink of manhood, Nathan’s often the recipient of his dad’s wisdom, which usually
consists of something that Will just learned himself. For Nathan, great intelligence comes
hand-in-hand with great anxiety. Will’s job, as he sees it, is to help his son find that
happy medium between striving for perfection and remembering to have fun…in other words,
some balance between Grant and Kenny.

Lucy is everything in a child that we love: cute, innocent and inquisitive…the same things
that can make raising a child an extreme challenge. For now, life’s pretty simple for Lucy.
Her parents, Will and Theresa, just hope that with all the insane adults in her life,
things stay simple.
