I left on February 8 spending the day in Atlanta before flying on to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I spent two days in Rio before flying to Iguazu Falls for two days. Then it was on to Buenos Aires, Argentina for one day before boarding the Star Princess for my cruise. We began the 16 day voyage by visiting Montevideo, Uruguay and the Falkland Islands. We then spent three great days exploring the Antarctic Peninsula. After crossing the turbulent Drake Passage we rounded Cape Horn and began cruising the Pacific side of South America. Our last two ports were Ushuaia, Argentina and Punta Arenas, Chile. After disembarking in Valparaiso, Chile I spent one night in Santiago before flying to Lima, Peru. After one night in Lima I flew to Cusco for two nights. From Cusco I traveled by train to Machu Picchu and "Lost City of the Incas." It was then back to Lima for a final night before ending the trip and flying home. | |
