Today I drove 312 miles from my home in Mooresville, Indiana to Copley, Ohio.
I made a brief stop in Columbus, Ohio on the way.

After leaving Columbus I drove northeast to the Cleveland suburbs
making only one stop in Seville, Ohio for lunch and fuel.
I spent the night at the Hawthorn Suites in Akron, Ohio.

Hello Everyone, I set out on a new trip today. This is my first vacation since retiring last month. So far I find retirement very boring. I desperately want to spend my time traveling. Unfortunately the arthritis in my feet continues to get worse. I literally can't walk more than a few feet without being in considerable discomfort. I am hoping that on a driving trip I can better control how much walking I do. I won't be able to do anything that is very far from my parked car. I hit the road at sunrise this morning.  I rented a car and am going to spend the next four weeks traveling around New England and Canada. Then on October 2nd I am going to take a cruise from Quebec City to New York City. I will fly home from New York. Hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate and I will get to see some beautiful fall foliage.  My first and only stop today was in Columbus, Ohio.  I parked under the Ohio Statehouse and popped above ground and took a very short walk around the Capitol grounds. Below is the Ohio Statehouse.  Weather was nice today. Temps in the mid 80s.  After my short visit to Columbus I drove to the Cleveland suburbs where I am spending the night. After checking into my hotel I went to see the movie Jason Bourne.
