FRIDAY, JULY 29, 2011:
We had to get up early on Friday as we made our way to Copenhagen.
It was about a three hour drive to Rostock from Berlin.
From Rostock we had to take a ferry across the Baltic Sea to Gedser, Denmark.
While we were waiting for the ferry we took some group pictures.
The ferry crossing was about two hours which was followed by a
two hour drive from Gedser to the cruise port in Copenhagen.
I boarded the Emerald Princess at around 3:00 and we sailed away at 6:00.

Hello again everyone, Last night everybody had a good time at the farewell dinner. We went to a local restaurant with live music and a rather eccentric owner. The owner would come around to the tables and pretend to spill soup on you or other assorted gags. The food was delicious as well. This morning we had to wake up early in order to make our ferry across the Baltic Sea. It was three hour drive to Rostock, Germany to catch our ferry. It poured down rain all the way. While we were waiting for the ferry to arrive it stopped raining for a few seconds so we got out of the bus to take a group photo. Below are my travel companions for the past eight days. The ferry crossing took two hours and then it was another two hour drive to Copenhagen. We finally got to the ship at 3:00 this afternoon. I am now on board the beautiful Emerald Princess. Below is a picture from the ship as we sailed away from Copenhagen at 6:00 this evening. We are now sailing toward Oslo, Norway. The Captain just informed us that our call in Oslo will proceed as scheduled. Below is a picture of the ship. That will do it for today.
