WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19, 2017:

Today I drove 257 miles from traveling from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Las Cruces, New Mexico.

The highlight of the day was riding the Sandia Peak Tramway.

It was a 240 mile drive from Albuquerque to Las Cruces after I finished the tramway.

MY DAILY EMAIL SENT ON APRIL 19, 2017
Hello Everyone,

I took a day off from the traveling yesterday. I hung around my Albuquerque hotel and went to see a movie.

Late this morning I checked out of the hotel and drove over to Sandia Peak on the far north side of Albuquerque. I rode the tramway to the top of the 10,000 foot mountain.

It was quite cold and windy at the top of the mountain.

Below is my tram coming in to take me back down the mountain. I was hoping that they wouldn't run out of room inside so I didn't have to ride down on the roof like the fellow in the picture below.

After the tramway I drove 240 miles south to Las Cruces where I am spening the night. I only made one stop, in Truth or Consequences for lunch at Sonic. The banana cream pie milk shake was delicious. Below is the Ramada Inn where I am staying here in Las Cruces.

It's back to Arizona tomorrow where I will spend the rest of the trip until I fly home Tuesday morning.
