I began my 1999
summer vacation
by flying to Las
Vegas. Enroute I
had a quick plane
change in Phoenix.
I stayed at the
Stratosphere Hotel
for my three days
in Las Vegas.
Even though I visit Las Vegas about once per
year, there is always something new to see when
I come back. All of the huge resort hotels
above had opened since my visit a year ago.
Above is the erupting Valcano at the Mirage.
Above is one of the casinos on Fremont Street.
The Fremont Street Experience boasts a canopy
of more than two million lights arching across
a four-block expanse of downtown Las Vegas.
While there I saw a couple of the animated
sound and light shows.
This is the strip at night as seen
from the Rio Hotel.
